Needless to say, I share his hopes.

Back home, safe and sound. Finland was great and I enjoyed my visit to Estonia as well. More on both later. The journey home was endless and exhausting, and god, I hate the TSA, especially the ones at Chicago O'Hare. Petty pseudopolice drunk on their authority. But never mind.

Tons of emails, a mountain of mail, much sleep to catch up on. I'll be digging out from under for a while. But lots of cool stuff happening too, on all sorts of fronts. I'll post what I can when I can.

Next trip on the schedule is worldcon in Montreal. I have my program for that, and will post it here soon. I'm hoping to complete a few more chapters for DANCE before taking off. Still tugging, slashing, and cursing that Meereenese knot.

So devArt has somewhat recently had a rash of those meme things where you draw characters (or whatever) to various prompts.

And I guess I just had to get in on the action. (Or, really, I wanted an excuse to draw Sheol and Lilika some characters in different genres and there wasn't one already available.)

So, I made a horrible meme thing. You kids that aren't on devArt but do draw should do this, too. Unless you don't feel like it or whatever.

Before you ask: gotta get to the bank early. Decided to wait for bank to open. Am gonna gather up bag and start walking after this post as I don't trust myself to drive and need the exercise anyway.

What did i do last night? Did I do something productive, like clean?

What if Petunia DID have magic? and What if NEVILLE was the chosen one?
What if Harry looked more like his mother than his father? (warning: though utterly not intended in any way shape or form this came across with Snape/Harry overtones.)
What if the Potters had a daughter instead?

Yeah, this, pretty much.

Obviously by this I mean canon drabble/ficlet requests. The movie just got me in a very Half-Blood Prince writing mood.

I say drabble/ficlet because who knows how my writing might materialize. ;)

What I'm really looking for are missing moment requests, and/or alternative point of view moments, though I can also do characters discussing the events of something - or everything - that happened in HBP in TDH or even post-TDH.

If you haven't seen the movie, as I said last night, I highly suggest it. :) Just expect some significant changes from the books.

Oh crap.
Now I'm getting second thoughts.
I believe some of you have done that already. How did it go? How crazy does it get? Should I be scared????

- In San Fran hotel! Omg it's a nice hotel holy shit I have like a suite to myself.
- Meetings went very well. Feel v. professional.
- Wore cute shoes! Down side: broke IN cute shoes.
- Nothing is more undignified than getting into and out of a car in a pencil skirt.
- Hanging out with client after was a lot of fun, and included much hilarity. :')
- mmm good food.
